A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.
The Wolfson Foundation
Grants of up to £75,000 are available to charities and local authorities working in mental health. The Wolfson Foundation provides funding for capital projects, with a particular focus on training, employment, and supported housing.
Projects should address at least one of the following aims:
Increased access to services for new and existing users
Improved quality and range of services
Improved future sustainability of the organisation
Grants are typically awarded for new builds, refurbishments, or equipment.
Match funding is required for projects costing more than £50,000. Projects should include capital costs of at least £50,000, and have a shortfall in capital funding of at least £25,000.

The Baily Thomas General grants programme
UK charities, parent-teacher Associations, and schools can apply for grants to help children and adults suffering severe learning difficulties, including autism.
The funding is being made available through the Baily Thomas General grants programme and can be used to purchase equipment, support capital works, and cover project and core costs.
The Fund does not currently accept appeals from Community Interest Companies.

The FCC Community Action Fund
Registered Charities, Churches, Parish Councils, Local Authorities, and CASC-registered sports clubs can apply for grants of between £2,000 and £100,000 to provide, maintain, or improve community facilities.
Recent changes to its funding policy mean that the FCC Community Foundation will now accept applications for renewable energy projects based at community buildings, including solar panels. Applications for non-substantial extensions such as porches, storage areas, and toilets/kitchens will now also be accepted in some circumstances.

The 7stars Foundation
Grants of up to £2,500 are available to charitable organisations supporting challenged and vulnerable young people under the age of 16 in the UK.
The 7stars Foundation provides funding for projects which support children and young people living in areas of deprivation and socioeconomic disadvantage who are affected by:
Abuse
Addiction
Homelessness
Responsibilities as young carers
The grants are available to registered charities with an annual turnover of less than £1.5 million.

The Amazon Literary Partnership
Amazon has announced that the Amazon Literary Partnership (ALP) is back for its sixth year, providing grants to literary organisations that support and champion writers of all ages and stages in their career.
Last year, the ALP supported 37 literary groups across the UK. Beneficiaries included organisations dedicated to amplifying voices that aren’t usually heard, or groups that engage children with expressing themselves through writing.
Applications are invited from registered non-profit organisations in the UK or Republic of Ireland, whose core mission is to develop emerging writers, support diversity, celebrate storytelling, and/or build authors’ careers.

One Stop's Community Partnership Programme
Convenience store operator One Stop has announced that its Community Partnership programme has re-opened for applications. The programme provides grants of up to £1,000 to schools and other not-for-profit organisations operating within a two-mile radius of a One Stop shop.
In addition to the grant, the One Stop Community Team and One Stop Store Team create a long-term tailored support programme for successful applicants. Grant recipients then partner with the One Stop Store Team at their local shop to deliver this programme.
Applications will be welcomed from various organisations including schools, voluntary/community organisations, registered charities, health bodies, Parish/Town councils, social enterprises, Community Interest Companies.
