Feedback from All Age Disability Partnership Board meeting (26/03/2025)

Tam Gilbert attended the All Age Disability Partnership Board meeting at The Grange, Wallasey on Wednesday 26th March. Below is the feedback from the meeting: Key Points

  • Access to work changes - new model coming - connect to work, broken down into support and non support groups.

  • Work going on at Springfield to deal with delays to discharge in mental health beds - social work team support, 3 month trail coming to an end but work will continue as it has been successful.

  • New report out on deaths of children 0-18 with Learning Disability and Autism broken into themes.

  • Thematic Updates - these groups are still developing and we were all tasked with looking at membership for gaps before next meeting:

Key Points

  • Strategy Easy Read PDF documents on Wirral Council website - negotiating with marketing to do this, discussion over consistency of easy read.

  • STOMP is now called Medicine Optimisation.

  • Delivering better Value work in Children's services - coproduction with families, working to find gaps in commissioning to improve services for SEND children embedding graduated approach and discussion of Portsmouth model for ND pathway.

  • discussed potential for Zoop - new Autism Hub at Open Door - potential for autism stream members of Autism theme that feeds into AAD partnership board.

Feedback from 21/11/2024 Meeting

Karen Livesey attended the Core20PLUS5 meeting on Thursday 21st November. Below is the feedback from the meeting:


Key Points

"This group is responsible for helping to develop an approach to Core20plus5 which is a national framework for both adults and Children and Young People for reducing healthcare inequalities.


We are now coalesced both the Adults and CYP group so its very early days in terms how the group will have oversight of both frameworks.


We have active involvement from the VCFSE sector from WMO, Wirral Change, Health Junction, Wirral Mencap, MSDP, WSBPS. Organisations can always come along to the meetings if they wish to."
