Key Points

"GPs, dentistry and pharmacology are facing significant pressures on resources and finances. As community reps we are investigating how these pressures will affect patient care on Wirral. As these become clear we will report on these in the new year.

There is significant funding shortfall playing out in Wirral and as a result all service delivery units and PCs made the decision to not undertake certain work streams which are not funded appropriately. We can't provide details on specifics but as info become extant we will report on changes to patient care.

We have been investigating the situation around additional ARRS roles in Wirral and seeking to make sure that the opportunity is taken up by PCGs. There are current issues around the…

Carol Johnson-Eyre attended the Wirral Place Based Partnership Board meeting at Wallasey Town Hall on Thursday 26th September. Below is the feedback from the meeting:

Key Points

"There are financial constraints across the health system, and savings are being made. The Board will consider a paper in November about the impact of those financial constraints.

There is a Transforming Care programme supporting people with a Learning Disability or Autism. This programme is across Cheshire and Merseyside - please read the papers for the presentation."

What is Important?

"They are important as any system changes can impact on support Wirral residents receive and impact on the services the health sector and Council commission Wirral VCSFE commission. We need to make sure the system understands the risks changes make.
