This post will mainly be based in the Neston area with hybrid working. The person engaged will be responsible for the on the ground development of a brand new pilot project providing support in the community for people living with dementia and their carers in their home environment. This project will be based in the Neston area. There will be a programme of specific social activities which you will organise. You will recruit a small team of volunteers who will be trained in supporting people living with dementia. You will have the ability to network locally with a variety of internal and external stakeholders so good communication skills are essential as is having strong organisational skills. You will be supported in your role by other colleagues and the communities manager. Training will be provided. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is a necessary as travel around the area is required. Mileage allowance and expenses are paid. A basic knowledge of IT, spreadsheets, WORD, Excel etc is a must. You will be working with new technology to provide support in the home. You will be provided with IT equipment and a mobile telephone. An enhanced DBS check will be carried out on the successful applicant. Knowledge of working with people living with dementia is desirable and an advantage but not essential as we are looking for a person with empathy and passion for the role.
