A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.
Easyfundraising's Together for Good initiative

Waitrose and easyfundraising have come Together for Good to give a helping hand to the voluntary groups, charities, and CICs who work tirelessly to support our communities. This October, they will donate five £1,000 funding pots to community organisations.

Contract for the Development of Neuro-Diverse and Serious Violence Approaches [TENDER] [CLOSING SOON]

Merseyside's Police and Crime Commissioner is inviting proposals to work in collaboration with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside (OPCCM) and the Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership (MVRP) to develop a suite of assets for professionals and communities which provide easy access to early help and support where there is a concern that a young adult at risk of, or already involved in, serious violence, may be neurodiverse or have a neurodevelopmental need.

The Windrush Day Grant Scheme

The Windrush Day Grant Scheme supports groups to commemorate, celebrate and educate people about the contribution of the Windrush generation and their descendants across communities in our country.  Funded projects will help people join together in celebrating the arrival of the MV Empire Windrush. £500,000 in funding is available for local communities in England and Northern Ireland to hold events celebrating the Windrush Generation and their positive impact on modern Britain.


The grant scheme forms a part of the Government’s commitment to level up opportunity across diverse communities and help build greater trust in public services while improving outcomes for everyone and forging a greater sense of belonging.

Charles Hayward Foundation Small Grants programme

Grants of up to £7,000 are available to charities in the U.K to support preventative and early community based intervention programmes that focus on helping older people stay in their own homes and maintain their independence.



Grants from The Hedley Foundation

The Hedley Foundation is inviting applications from small- to medium-sized registered charities that help to improve the quality of life of people in the UK, particularly the disadvantaged and vulnerable.


The Foundation typically makes grants of up to £5,000 each year for initiatives that benefit the lives of young people, disabled people, elderly people, the terminally ill and otherwise disadvantaged people and their carers. Occasional larger sums are given to charities where high impact can be achieved.


Current deadline: 11th December 2024



The Thomas Wall Trust

Grants of up to £5,000 are available to registered charities to support projects that equip people (18 or older in order) from disadvantaged groups with the critical life skills necessary to gain employment.


Priority will be given to projects that target people experiencing multiple deprivation or other groups facing major hurdles to employment, especially women, people with physical, mental, or learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers.


Current deadline: 6th January 2025



Greene King's Proud To Pitch In Campaign

Grants of up to £4,000 are available through the Proud To Pitch In Campaign, which raises funding through the sale of Greene King IPA for activities such as football, rugby, cricket, roller hockey or netball.


Applications can be made by grassroots and community sports clubs running activities for people aged 18 and over.

Home Instead Grants

Home Instead Charities awards grants of upto £1,500 for well-being events, activities, or pastimes that prevent social isolation and loneliness among adults over 55.


Current deadline: 31st October 2024



The D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust

Grants are available for UK-registered charities that seek to enhance and improve people’s lives by advancing the arts, health and medical welfare, and the environment.


The D'Oyly Carte Charitable Trust typically awards grants of between £500 and £6,000 for projects and core costs, with a preference for small-scale, locally based initiatives.


The services provided to communities could include promoting access to the arts, conservation activities, music and art therapy to improve mental health and wellbeing, and providing breaks for carers.


Current deadline: 4th February 2025



Funding from the Weavers' Company

Registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, and in exceptional circumstances Community Interest Companies can apply for grants for projects that support offenders and ex-offenders as well as into work and helping specific less popular groups within the criminal justice sector.


In allocating funding, priority is given to projects that support offenders into work and projects that work with less popular groups in society. A secondary priority is given to supporting projects that work with young people from disadvantaged and socio-economically challenged groups, such as immigrants, to ensure they are given every possible chance to realise their full potential and to participate fully in society.
