A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.
Merseyside Police's Community Cashback Fund
Organisations across Merseyside are being invited to apply for a share of £100,000 which has been seized from criminals to run projects focused on bringing communities together in the wake of the violent disorder on our streets.
Grassroots organisations, charities and voluntary groups can bid for grants of up to £5,000 to fund projects which promote diversity, equality and inclusion and are designed to foster greater understanding between different communities.

Arts Council England's Creative People and Places National Portfolio Fund
The Arts Council England has launched a new round of their Creative People and Places National Portfolio Fund. The Fund aims to support arts projects in places where participation in the arts is significantly below the national average, with grants of between £750,000 and £1 million available to bring creative opportunities to communities in 142 eligible locations not currently engaging with the arts.
The Arts Council is keen to encourage long-term collaborations between local communities and arts organisations, museums, libraries and local authorities.

The Pudsey Next Steps programme
BBC Children in Need has launched a new funding initiative to support under-served and marginalised children and young people across the UK. The programme offers grants of £1,000 to £15,000 per year for up to three years, to not-for-profit organisations working with children and young people under 18 facing challenges such as poverty, discrimination, and exclusion. This includes those who are care-experienced, disabled, or from minoritised ethnic communities.

Grants from the Asda Foundation
The Asda Foundation have a range of grant and funding opportunities available for charities at the moment.
Empowering Local Communities Grant - Funding up to £2,000 to enable local community groups to support a broad range of activities helping to transform communities and improve lives.
Under 18 Better Starts Grant - Funding up to £2,000 to enable local community groups to support a broad range of activities that benefit the lives of young people.
Cost of Living Grant - Funding of up to £2,000 to enable local community groups to meet the changing needs of their service users.

The Charles Plater Trust's Small Grants Programme
Charities with an annual income below £100,000 are eligible to apply for a small grant of up to £5,000 on the Charles Plater Trust website. The programme supports year-long initiatives that tackle needs and problems in parishes, deprived communities, and marginalised groups. It focuses on issues such as poverty, social exclusion, economic inequality, and environmental challenges.

The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund
Funding is available to registered charities, not-for-profit social enterprises, and community interest companies working with vulnerable young women and girls across the UK who are at a high risk of entering the criminal justice system. The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund offers grants of up to £80,000 over two years (£40,000 per year) for projects to reduce the number of those who receive a first conviction.
