A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.

Magenta Living Community Fund
For the past 20 years, Magenta Living has been awarding funding to help our customers and communities. To mark 20 years of Magenta Living, they want to work with local people, groups and organisations to fund 20 projects that will make a difference to local people and our community.
Magenta are offering the opportunity to local people, community groups and organisations to apply for funding of up to £20,000 to make a positive impact in Wirral.
To make sure these will benefit Magenta customers, each project will need to deliver against one of these themes:
Employment, Skills and Enterprise
Community Support
Community Facilities
Health and Wellbeing
Neighbourhoods

Jerwood Foundation
The Jerwood Foundation has opened its 2025 Summer funding round, inviting applications from UK arts organisations committed to fostering excellence and emerging talent. This initiative aims to support projects that make art accessible for public benefit.
Eligible organisations can apply for grants to support a variety of activities, including exhibitions, performances, residencies, and other creative endeavours that contribute to the development of artists and the wider arts community. The Foundation encourages applications from organisations that demonstrate a clear vision for artistic excellence and public engagement.
The total funding available for this round is up to £2 million, with individual grant amounts varying based on the scope and impact of the proposed projects. The Summer funding round is currently open, and interested organisations must submit their applications by 5pm on the 28 May 2025. Applications can be made through the Jerwood Foundation's official website.

SSE's Trading for Good Funded Programme [CLOSING SOON]
Registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, and in exceptional circumstances Community Interest Companies can apply for grants for projects that support offenders and ex-offenders as well as into work and helping specific less popular groups within the criminal justice sector.
The funding is being made available through the Weavers' Company. In allocating funding, priority is given to projects that support offenders into work and projects that work with less popular groups in society. A secondary priority is given to supporting projects that work with young people from disadvantaged and socio-economically challenged groups, such as immigrants, to ensure they are given every possible chance to realise their full potential and to participate fully in society.

Esmée Fairbairn Foundation’s Fairer Future grants programme
Registered charities and organisations with charitable aims can apply for grants for projects that tackle injustice and structural inequality with the aim to create a more inclusive society.
Through the programme, the Foundation wants to support initiatives within five priority areas. These are:
Arts and creativity making change
Children and young people's rights
Racial justice
Gender justice
Migrant justice.
The Foundation are keen to work with those with experience of the issues being addressed.
The majority of grants are for three years or longer and can cover project and core costs. Registered charities can also apply for unrestricted grants.
The minimum amount the Foundation offers is £30,000 and they have no maximum amount.
There are no application deadlines and applications can be submitted at any time.

The GirlDreamer Dream Fund
Grants of up to £2,500 are available to support women of colour-led social impact organisations in the UK.
The GirlDreamer Dream Fund will enable organisations to start or grow community-focused initiatives that address social issues and amplify the voices of underrepresented communities.
It aims to empower these young women to lead and create positive change in their communities by offering financial support, skills development, and networking opportunities.

The Clothworkers Foundation
The Clothworkers Foundation awards grants to UK registered charities, CICs, and other registered UK not-for-profit organisations (including special schools).
Grants are awarded towards capital projects and may cover the cost of:
Buildings: Purchase, construction, renovation or refurbishment.
Fittings, Fixtures, and Equipment: Including (but is not limited to) office equipment/furniture, sports/gym equipment, digital/audio visual equipment, garden equipment, specialist therapeutic (excluding medical) equipment.
Vehicles: Including a minibus, car, caravan, people-carrier, or 4X4 (new vehicles are unlikely to be funded).
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that the work of the organisation fits within one or more of the Foundations programme areas which are:
Alcohol & substance misuse
Disadvantaged minority communities
Disadvantaged young people
Domestic & sexual abuse
Homelessness
Older people
People with disabilities
Prisoners & ex-offenders
Visual impairment
LGBT+ Communities
At least 50% of service users benefiting from the capital project must be from one or more of these groups. Application Guidance and a list of exclusions can be found on the website.
Applications can be made at any time. The Foundation aim to make a decision within twelve weeks for grants and projects less than £15,000 or within six months for grants over £15,000.

Unltd Funding Futures Programme and Awards
Social entrepreneurs across the UK who are committed to making a positive impact in their communities can apply for grants of up to £18,000. The funding, which is being made available through Unltd, offers support through two distinct funding streams.
The Funding Futures Programme – This programme is aimed at young social entrepreneurs aged 16 to 30, specifically those working to improve financial inclusion.
The Millennium Awards Trust – Open to social entrepreneurs aged 16 and above, this stream welcomes applications from all sectors, provided the venture demonstrates clear social impact.
UnLtd is particularly interested in supporting innovative social ventures that address inequality and support marginalised communities. The organisation strongly encourages applications from disabled entrepreneurs and those from Black, Asian, or minority ethnic backgrounds, with at least 50% of awards dedicated to these groups.

The AB Charitable Trust
The AB Charitable Trust (ABCT), a grant-making foundation focused on promoting and defending human rights in the UK and supporting marginalised and excluded groups whose rights are at risk or under threat, has announced that its Open Programme is currently accepting applications from UK registered charities that address the root causes of injustice and inequality in the UK.
Through its Open Programme, ABCT offers grants ranging from £10,000 to £30,000 per year, for up to three years. The programme provides both core funding (unrestricted grants) and project funding (restricted grants), enabling charities to deliver essential activities that protect and promote human rights.
Current deadline: 25th July 2025
SPAR Community Cashback Scheme
Convenience retailer SPAR, is inviting applications for its £100,000 Community Cashback Scheme which awards grants to voluntary or community organisations and charities which make a difference within their local area.
The scheme gives shoppers across the UK the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to £10,000 for an organisation, school or charity they feel deserves funding.
Applicants will need to share the exceptional contribution a local organisation has made to their community and what the grant would be put towards.
All entries will be considered for the £10,000 grant with SPAR and its holding companies choosing which organisations receive each grant.
