This accredited two-day Mental Health First Aid (Children) course is designed for individuals who work with or support young people and focuses on understanding and supporting the mental health of children and adolescents, typically aged 8–18. It helps adults who work with or care for young people to identify early signs of distress, respond to crises such as self-harm or panic attacks and encourage positive mental health conversations. The course also builds awareness of factors affecting young people’s wellbeing, including social pressures, trauma and digital influence. Participants learn how to provide safe, effective early intervention and how to promote resilience and recovery among young people.
