ree

The Liverpool City Region (LCR) Race Equality Hub, in partnership with the Ella Baker School of Organising, is offering a free three-day training course to people across Merseyside this October, titled Transforming and Building Communities through Conversations.

The programme is designed to challenge divisive narratives that seek to blame or disempower marginalised communities. It will equip participants with the confidence, skills and tools to hold constructive conversations that reduce tensions, find solutions and build unity.

What will the training cover?

Participants will:

  • Learn how to engage meaningfully with people influenced by harmful or divisive narratives

  • Gain practical techniques to challenge problematic views in workplaces, communities and other settings

  • Build confidence in facilitating difficult but important conversations that strengthen communities

This training is ideal for those working in the VCFSE sector across the Wirral, as well as anyone with an interest in promoting equality, inclusion and positive change. The dates for the training are Thursdays2 October, 9 October and 16 October 2025, and repeated on Tuesdays: 18 November, 25 November and 2 December 2025 from 9:30am - 4:30pm.
