A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.
Nineveh Charitable Trust Grants
UK based schools and not for profit organisations can apply for funding to the Nineveh Charitable Trust for a broad range of projects and activities that promote a better understanding of the environment and countryside, whilst facilitating improved access, education and research.
Whilst the Trust does not specify a minimum or maximum grant amount that can be applied for, an analysis of previous grants would suggest a maximum of £5,000 per year for up to three years.

Power to Change Energy Resilience Fund
Community businesses can apply for financial support ranging from £10,000 to £150,000 to stabilise or reduce energy costs and support the transition to more sustainable energy practices.
The funding, made available through the Power to Change Energy Resilience Fund, can be used for various projects, including retrofitting buildings with energy-generating or saving technologies.
Up to 40% of the total funding can be provided as a grant, with additional energy audit grants available between £500 and £2,500.
The grant is available to community businesses in England that own a building or have a long-term lease of 12 years or more.

The National Centre for Accessible Transport (NCAT) Scaling Innovation Programme
The National Centre for Accessible Transport (NCAT) has launched the Scaling Innovation Programme to enhance transport accessibility for disabled people in the UK.
Delivered by Connected Places Catapult, the programme offers up to £150,000 in funding, as well as technical and business support, to as many as fifteen selected small and medium-sized enterprises developing accessible transport solutions.
This programme offers SMEs the chance to tackle evidence-based challenges, as well as an open call for any organisations working on accessibility innovations in the transport sector.

Funding from The Veolia Environmental Trust
The Veolia Environmental Trust has the following grants available:
Community Grant Scheme
These grants are open to constituted not-for-profit organisations and local authorities. They provide funding ranging from £10,000 to £75,000, aimed at creating or improving buildings or outdoor spaces for the benefit of the community. The maximum project size eligible for funding is £350,000.
Nature Conservation Grants Schemes
These are only available to Environmental Bodies (EBs) who are already enrolled with Landfill Communities Fund regulator ENTRUST.
Habitat and Biodiversity Grants: Projects focused on conserving, restoring, or enhancing threatened habitats and/or protecting and increasing biodiversity can apply for grants between £10,000 and £75,000. The maximum project size eligible for funding is £350,000.
Environmental Improvement Grants: For larger-scale conservation projects, such as habitat creation/management and species protection, grants exceeding £75,000. Please ensure that you read and understand the criteria before submitting a proposal.

The US Embassy's Annual Programme Statement
The US Embassy in the United Kingdom has announced its Annual Programme Statement (APS) for 2025, inviting applications for grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. The total funding available under this scheme is up to $800,000, subject to the availability of appropriated funds.
The grants aim to support programmes that enhance the US-UK partnership through cultural, educational, and outreach activities. Eligible projects may include curriculum development, student exchanges, speaker programmes, arts and film initiatives, conferences, symposia, faculty development, and the public dissemination of academic research.
The APS is managed by the Cultural Office of the US Embassy and is open to non-profit and educational organisations.

Big Give's Green Match Fund
The Green Match Fund aims to support charities playing a vital role in addressing pressing environmental issues. Whether that’s preserving ecosystems, protecting endangered species or promoting sustainable practices, every donation will make double the difference in the global effort to protect and preserve our planet.
It's calling all charities working on environmental issues in the UK or overseas as part of their core mission. Charities have two different models they can choose to apply for. Charities seeking to raise:
Up to £10,000 in public donations (to be doubled by match funds) through the 1:1 model.
Up to £100,000 in public donations (to be doubled by match funds) through the pledge model. Charities can receive up to £50k in Champion funds.
