New funding opportunities available this week (May 20th 2024)

A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.


Lloyds Bank Foundation Racial Equity program accepting funding applications until May 30th

This programme is for small local charities and CICs which are led by and working with people who are experiencing economic inequity because of their race or ethnicity. This programme combines unrestricted funding of £75,000 over three years and a breadth of tailored support. The deadline for applications is the 30th May 2024.

Sport England's Movement Fund

The Movement Fund has replaced Sport England’s flagship Small Grants programme and provides crowdfunding pledges, grants and support to help projects that get more people active. If you're eligible and your project aligns with our goals, you could receive up to £15,000 to cover a wide range of costs and items that'll help deliver positive change in your community. Pilgrim Trust's Young Women in Mind programme

Pilgrim Trust set up the Young Women in Mind programme (previously known as the Young Women’s Mental Health programme) to help improve the mental health of women aged 16-25 in the UK. They’ve committed £5 million in funding over five years (2021-2026). Their grants go to organisations that increase young women’s access to high quality, age and gender specific mental health services.


You can apply to this grant if you are:

  • A UK registered charity

  • Turnover from £100k to £1 million

  • Operating for 3+ years

Youth Empowerment Scheme (YES) from Community Foundation Merseyside

The scheme is targeted at community projects that offer diversionary activities - particular those that include arts, culture and sports to support young people aged under 25 years who may be more vulnerable to experiencing violence and at risk of anti-social behaviour. Wards on the Wirral encouraged for proposals on projects and programmes are Bidston and St James, Birkenhead and Tranmere, Leasowe and Moreton East, Seacombe.
