This week's Funding Bulletin (August 19th - August 23rd 2024)

A short summary of funding opportunities that have came to our attention this week.
Prudence Trust Early Support Hub Funding

The Prudence Trust is pleased to offer a new funding opportunity to support drop-in mental health hubs for young people aged 11-25.

They are seeking hubs that are integrated within the local healthcare and voluntary sectors, and rigorously evaluate impact so that the model can be more widely and consistently scaled up and funded.

Whilst they are interested in youth work, this funding round is not aimed at youth clubs and is specifically for drop-in hubs which offer mental health interventions to young people with early signs of mental health struggles.

Current deadline: 9th September 2024

Foyle Foundation's Small Grants Scheme

Grants between £2,000 and £10,000 are available to support small, grassroots, and local charities that deliver services to the young, vulnerable, elderly, disadvantaged, or general community across the UK.

The funding, which is being made available through Foyle Foundation’s Small Grants Scheme, can be used to cover projects, core costs, building projects, or essential equipment to enable ongoing service provision for charities with a turnover of less than £150,000 per annum that can show financial stability and a clear need for their services.

Current deadline: 31st January 2025

National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund - Our Shared Future programme

The aim of the programme is to support community-led projects to inspire more people to take climate action by linking climate action to the everyday lives and interests of local communities, and by linking up different groups across locations. This could be in one country, or across the whole UK. A total of £20 million is available through the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund - Our Shared Future programme.

The minimum grant that can be applied for is £500,000; however, most projects are expected to receive funding of between £1 million and £1.5 million over 3 to 5 years.

Current deadline: Early 2025

Cash for Kids' grant scheme

Individuals, groups, or children's charities that assist young people facing vulnerability, disadvantage, illness, or disability, or who require extra support, can apply for grants of up to £3,000. The funding is made available through the Cash for Kids grant program, which is affiliated with Bauer Radio's network of local charities spanning 22 locations across the UK.

The grants aim to facilitate the purchase of specialised equipment, back projects and new ventures, and sustain services that offer crucial care and assistance to children up to 18 years old.

Current deadline: 5th September 2024

WCIT's IT4Good Grant Programme

Registered charities, educational establishments, community interest companies, and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £15,000 for IT projects that benefit communities and people across the UK.

Current deadline: 31st October 2024

SUEZ Communities Fund

Not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding to deliver projects that improve communities and the environment.

The funding is made available through the SUEZ Communities Fund for projects that improve public amenities, repair religious or historic buildings, or support biodiversity in areas surrounding Suez landfill sites.

Our past Funding Bulletins will also have grant opportunities that are still open!
