The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) have launched a 10 week consultation. This consultation asks for views on the financial thresholds in charity law and at which level they should be set.
This consultation will close at 11:45pm on the 12th June 2025.
DCMS state that by reviewing the thresholds, charities will continue to be transparent and accountable, garnering continued trust from the public. They also aim to make the regulatory landscape more proportionate and less burdensome.
Wirral CVS would like to encourage as many Wirral organisations as possible to respond to this survey.
If you would like to look at the details and questions in the survey click here.
You can give your views either by responding online or by sending an email to charitylaw@dcms.gov.uk. Alternatively you can write to the Charity Law and Regulation Policy Team, Civil Society and Youth, DCMS, 1st Floor, 100 Parliament Street, London, SW1A 2BQ.
