Today's COP had a wide variety of speakers, and as always was well attended and very useful to the people that came. Below are the speakers with a specific ask for the sector.
Jo Burrell from Wirral Council spoke about the work that is being done with the new Dock Branch Park and told the group to talk to Amy Butterworth from Make it Happen or Jo Burrell if you are a group interested in being involved in this development.
George Hawkins from the Open Door Charity gave an update on the Joy Project in the Treasury Building and asked people to get in touch if they had an interest in delivering a service in the building, as discussion will soon be starting.
Lynne Sedgewick - WSBPS gave us an update but also mentioned that they are looking for outreach hubs for the service so get in touch if this is of interest.
We had further updates from Charlie Knowles - Wirral Tree Wardens, who are always looking for volunteer tree wardens.
Leanne King from Wirral Mencap asked if anyone was a professional working with parents of children with a learning difficulty. Mencap are looking for professionals to join their steering group. They also mentioned a very fun fundraising event involving Bollywood on the 11th May.
Karen Livesey from One Wirral CIC mentioned that they are looking at projects that address early detection of cancer, to improve treatment options, and very open to collaboration.
And finally a quote from a happy participant 'Well done guys, organised perfectly by Mark and chaired beautifully by Amy' I don't disagree.
