Mental Health Forum

Introduction

The Wirral Mental Health Forum has been developed to oversee the implementa-tion of the priorities outlined in the Wirral Health and Care Plan , Mental Health Five Year Forward View and NHS Long Term Plan across the Wir-ral System, with an all-age Mental Health approach.

The Wirral Mental Health Forum will have responsibility for ensuring that the as-sociated strategic and operational groups are working towards agreed aims & out-comes and are delivering Mental Health priorities in addition to improving out-comes in population health and tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience, and access.

The Wirral Mental Health Forum (WMHF) will support:

• Setting strategy and delivering long term transformational change.
• Driving high quality sustainable outcomes.
• Providing robust governance and assurance.
• Creating a compassionate and inclusive culture.
• Building trusted relationships with partners and communities.
• Leading for health equality.

Many VCFSE organisations provide support for those who are experiencing Mental Health issues and understand the communities and neighbourhoods that they support. We want to ensure that we have a non-statutory organisation voice that represents the experience of those in Wirral.
